If we asked any parent what they want most for their child, I think we would all answer the same thing: that he be happy. There is no magic recipe or pills that fill us with happiness every day, but we can provide our children with an environment and conditions so that tomorrow this feeling reigns from the moment they wake up. Today I have prepared a list with the 11 things children have to learn to be happy adults.

The first years of a child are key to their development, because everything they learn, feel and experience at this stage will influence their life as adults. Therefore, if we want (and we want it and we wish) them to be happy, we have to educate them and teach them a series of activities, skills and knowledge that will make life easier for them tomorrow. 1. to laugh
Laughter has an incredible therapeutic effect (it reduces insomonia, rejuvenates the skin, improves breathing, facilitates digestion) and powers that we make very little use of when we reach adulthood. Therefore, if we teach them to laugh from the time they are young, they will live longer and be happier without a doubt!

2. Another language
Languages ​​give us the chance to travel and develop in other countries, to get out of our comfort zone and to discover other cultures, just as rich or more than ours. Let's support our little ones in learning other languages ​​so as not to limit themselves to their place of birth.

3. Swimming
Playing sports is essential to keep our body healthy, but also our mind. He could have chosen basketball, martial arts, tennis, paddle tennis, soccer, but no. I want my daughters to learn (and they are in it) swimming, because for me it is the most complete sport that there is in every way: it strengthens their limbs, improves their coordination, allows their brain to stay in good condition for longer and , very important, it can help you save a life in an emergency in a pool or on a beach.

4. Recycle
We can be the happiest people in the world, but if we live on a planet that is not clean and cared for, what good is it? As parents we must, first, set an example, and second, teach our children to recycle and the importance and meaning that this gesture has for their future. They are the future, but what if there is no future?

5. Play an instrument
Did you know that, through music and specifically the act of playing an instrument, we can improve our communication skills and, in turn, develop creative capacities? They are qualities that, as adults, can help us at work and in personal life. So, think no more, and enroll your child in piano, guitar or drums lessons. 6. To lose

We live in such a competitive society that we are only thinking about winning and being the best, and that is what our children see and are internalizing, but what happens when instead of being the first we are the last? What happens when you lose? If from a young age we discover this other side of life for our children, it will help them face challenges with greater self-confidence.

7. Dancing
Clear the living room, put on music ... and dance! There are several studies that ensure that dance changes the emotional state of children and adolescents, keeping them away from stress and anxiety. And I'm sure it's not a bad thing for you to have a dance either.

8. Cook
The relationship that the child maintains with food will influence their mood, and that is that suppressing or including certain foods in the usual diet improves or worsens our mood, so we must try that from a very young age children participate in the whole process: from making the shopping list, going to the market, putting the food in its place and preparing different recipes, as well as talking about those foods that are most toxic and harmful to their / our health.

9. Relax
It is increasingly common (and sad) to see cases of very young children with stress. The reasons are, mainly, four: homework, the excess of extracurricular activities, new technologies and, although it hurts us, the parents themselves. That is why our mission to avoid creating stressed adults is to begin to reduce our own stress, help them with theirs (by reducing activities), encourage outdoor play and teach them different relaxation techniques that they can apply in difficult situations in which they are They can see.

10. Loving yourself
Each person is different from another and that is the beauty and greatness of life, because with each other we enrich and complement each other. 11. Get excited
